NURSING LEADERSHIP PROGRAM
You're in charge of a unit, department or facility.
Are your leadership skills at the level they need to be?
As an RN who's held leadership positions in both the health care and pharmaceutical industries, I know for a fact that leadership isn't learned in a quick home study environment. You can't take a "No Exam Required" express leadership course and expect to be successful as a supervisor, nurse manager, or nursing director. The qualities that define leadership include vision, focus, motivation, curiosity, discipline, positive attitude, perseverance, analytical thinking, and excellent communications skills. These are skills that are developed over time and are generally not a part of the coursework offered in schools of nursing whether your seeking an RN, BSN or Master Degree. When faced with having to run a unit or department nursing supervisors and managers often fall short because of inadequate preparation and a lack of in-depth management skill development.
We know that everyone is born with the potential for achievement, leadership and success. But the true skills of leadership must be developed to a high level of effectiveness and it begins by mastering the art of self-leadership. How you develop these skills and channel them into a specific direction will determine your future success as a leader.
This is not a light-weight, read 50 pages, no exam required process. Much like the work you did in college, through a combination of learning techniques and practice tools, this 10 week education series will take you to the next level in the development of your leadership skills, on both a personal and professional level. Upon completion of the entire program, participants will be granted 30 contact hours approved in 50 states.
